Introduction
I'm still working on getting my trailer. I have done a lot of research and am anxious to start framing my Tiny House.
- I have decided on steel framing, welding and or pop-riveting where the members meet.
- I like the looks of cedar siding, and will probably clear coat it to keep the surface from darkening.
- I have decided to fully plumb the tiny house with flexible tubing even though I will be installing a composing toilet. I will have a 45 gallon freshwater holding tank, for drinking, washing, and taking showers. I plan to dispose of gray water in a dry well.
- I plan to have both a 12 volt and 110 volt system, so I can run the Tiny house off the power grid if need be.
- I will have propane for heating and cooking (and possibly refrigeration), but am going to try and use a rocket stove, sized for the tiny house, for off the grid heating. Rocket stoves burn 1/5 the amount of wood traditional wood stoves burn for the same amount of heat.
